This game is a demo of "Phoenix 3".
Phoenix 3 on 3DO is an action game which includes two phases with very different gameplay. The first half of the game plays out as a traditional action game while the second half features a 3D space combat game. The story takes place on the planet Galearth, threatened by aliens named Gral. The player plays Derek Freeman who must find a weapon capable of countering the Gral. Filmed cutscenes are sprinkled throughout the game.
